Teen stressed out gang

In one of the website presentation they talked about teens being to stress in high school. I totally agree me as a teen in high school I'm extremely stressed out during,...... all the time in school. I feel like teens are stressed out because of everything they have to balance out at once. Some kids have sports and school plus the training they have to do aside from practice. Some kids have others thing that they have to do that takes time out there day from always studying and do homework. Even more stressed out when you have to balance out finals coming soon and keeping all your grades good and checking in with every class/teacher.

  1. (Gladys) So are you saying that we are the reason we get stressed? I agree with you when you say most of the stress isn't from school, but is is part of it. The other parts are other things outside of school. I don't think you can just go with the flow, everybody has worries and that can build up and stress us so much.

  2. I never looked at it from that point of view (in response to Gladys) but that does make a lot of sense. There are many teenagers that over think things such as projects, school work, and homework but that simply just happens to be the way they feel proud of it. I think we should stress a bit about homework because homework is an essential key to being successful on quizzes and test but I am not saying that we need to stress too much on homework.

  3. (Natalie) I think the stress depends on how much homework teachers give you. There are some classes that give you less homework than other classes and some classes that give a lot of homework for one night. It maybe depends on the classes you choose too.

  4. I completely agree with you that for a lot of students, stress does come from school and athletics. But after talking about it in class, I think that for just as many students, the main source of stress is not just from academics or sports, but maybe balancing that on top of a job or family problems. It is important to understand both points and see that stress can come from anywhere in someone's life and we should take just as much caution to help relieve stress wherever it comes from.

  5. I really like your approach to this, also like the creative titles! I think you did a really good job of including all of the possible extra curricular things like sports, because a lot of people often forget about that. However I disagree about checking in with teachers, I think if anything that decreases my stress levels knowing someone cares.

  6. I agree it can be very stressful. Schools should work on addressing this issue, especially in the Bay Area where stress can be heightened due to the tech industry.
