John Rockefeller born in July 8,1839 in Richforh, NY to a traveling salesmen. At a young age the future millionaire would find ways to make money by selling turkeys, selling candy and doing jobs for neighbors. In 1855, after moving to Cleveland he found a job as a clerk at a Cleveland commission that bought and sold ship grain.In 1859, Rockefeller and a partner established their own commission firm, Rockefeller also married Laura a Ohio native women. Rockefeller borrowed money to buy out some of his partners, the reason for that is so he can become in full control of the refinery.John Rockefeller made billions off standard oil , he retired around the mid-80s and donated more half a billion to various educational, religious and scientific causes. He also funded the establishment of the University of Chicago and the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research now as Rockefeller University.
