Muckraking Project
My partner and I have decided to work on the Economic Impacts that large corporations have on the bay area. Formally we believe that Apple, the tech company is doing a large disservice to the bay area because of the amount of money they are putting into the company and how that's affecting the people's inflation. As a result of Apple's products being extremely expensive, other companies have to bring up their prices to try to compete with the likes of Apple and Microsoft.

ReplyDeleteGood job on choosing and interesting and important topic for your project. Remember though that it is good to include a counter-argument in your project, so it may be a good idea to interview someone who works at Apple who believes that the presence of tech companies helps the area (maybe by increasing the value of property here, etc.).

ReplyDeleteWhen apple raises the prices of its products, it makes other companies raise the prices of their products in order to compete with the revenue that the larger corporations are bringing in .
ReplyDeleteReally interesting topic. I think this could actually be a downside to these companies that most people really do not see, and I'm really curious to see what you found statistically in your presentation tomorrow. :)
