Today in class we continued with the Muckraking presentations in class.
We started with Edgar's group, which went over how water is being wasted in California and how the problem is slowly getting worse over time. Their solutions included punishing people over their wasting of water and trying to prevent the slow decay of our water supply.
Next Gladys's group followed up with the issue of the high rents in the Mountain View/ Los Altos area. Their idea to solving the problem was to either create more affordable living spaces or to rent out apartments to multiple families, splitting the costs.
After them, Gerardo's group went up to discuss police brutality. Their main solution was to try and focus on the issue and try to prevent these issues from coming up again
Some of their other ideas for conserving water would be talking shorter showers, turning off the faucet when your not using it, and not watering plants as much. These details were also on Edgar's website.
