Muckraking Project
My group decided to do our Muckraking project on the issue of Women in STEM. Especially in this tech-centric area, there are considerably less women involved in the STEM workforce than men. We believe that this issue needs to be resolved because women can bring just as much value to this line of work as men, but they are not given equal opportunities. We will gather a variety of interviews from our relatives, teachers, and people directly involved the in the line of work as a woman in STEM.

I really like this project idea. I think that it is very important in the area that we live in, because STEM jobs are very common in the bay area.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really interesting topic. I also believe that women can bring as much if not more to the table then men can. Were you guys able to gather lots of helpful information on this topic? If so, was is mostly women or men that you interviewed about this topic? Anyhow, I can't wait to hear your presentation on this local issue.

ReplyDeleteI really like this topic, because I think its crazy that women are still oppressed compared to men in the modern day. Topics like these need to be brought to more light, and I really approve of what your group is doing. Good job!
