REALLY rich Homie JP Morgan

Honestly I find it so bizarre the amount of power that this man had stemming from his ridiculous amount of wealth. And yes while today we do have some billionaire tycoons who could equal the sheer amount of money, none of them have even close to the amount of power that Morgan controlled. He was one man who bailed out the American government. One man had the power to support a nation financially, not once but twice. And while it is kind of amusing and very impressive, I find this concept to be extremely terrifying. Having one man, who is all about business and money, being able to have a huge influence on the government of my country. The president should have that power, but only because he was chosen to have it. Yet this man can obtain this amount of power simply through his wealth due to his ruthlessness as a business man.

  1. I really like this post, it made me smile as I was reading it, because of it's tone! It is fairly short but very concise and you clearly explained what he did and how he gained his power! Good Job!

  4. I like how you shared your opinion on how crazy it was that Morgan was able to obtain so much power from his business/money. I thought it was very important that you added the part go Morgan bailing the U.S. treasury twice because that example best supports your claim on Morgan's power.

  6. I agree completely with the fear part of this. On top of bailing out the government and all that, in my opinion the scariest part is like, how many people he controlled. How many peoples jobs and wages he had in his hand. Very thankful there's no one like this in the current day
