My partners Jack, Lucas and I chose our muckraking project to be centered around the problem of dumbing on highways. We chose to create a website as we saw a website being the most beneficial and effective way to get information to our projected audience.
We focused around effects including how dumping can effect plants, animals, as well as us humans.
We included a bunch of ways that individuals can contribute to helping diminish the problem.
Interviews my group conducted included highly educated individuals with the subject. Members of Acterra, a group that organizes trash cleanups and other events, as well as a local, highly involved individual with the community.
We felt our presentation went smoothly and we can't wait to hear what other groups did their projects on.

I really enjoyed this presentation! It was very concise and to the point. I think it's cool that you could interview your uncle for your project cause not only is it convenient, but it's also very interesting to hear some first hand accounts from relatives.
ReplyDeleteGreat presentation, and I think this is a bigger problem than most people see it to be. The idea of throwing trash out of your window while driving on the highway seems just ridiculous to me, but I guess some people are stupider than others. Good job making an effort to bring this issue to more light!
ReplyDeleteGood job on the presentation, it was well presented. I just think that there is a lot of lazy and ignorant people. I've seen people that try to aim for the garbage and miss, and don't care enough to pick it up, it really bothers me. It's like one of the easiest things someone could do, just pick it back up and throw it in the garbage.
