Child Care In The Bay Area (Reflection)

This presentation really was interesting and informative. Since I never paid for my preschool out of pocket I never really noticed how much it actually was. They can go even higher than  High Schools. Yes i understand that Preschool is a shorter period of time than a High School is, but still it's ridiculous that those schools would charge so much just for small children around the ages of 2-3. I agreed with their claim that children should have a chance a good education without having to pay so much money. So I am for what they proposed and that it shouldn't be a battle of who has more money will get a better education, the system should be, everyone gets the same chance, and then what they chose to do with that chance is on them.

  1. Thank You for your feedback, we spent a lot of time researching and it was very hard to get preschools to answer our questions! I am very glad you like our presentation, and that you agree with the point we are trying to make :)

  2. I agree completely, and think this was a super good summary of the presentation, and also made it clearer for myself. Also it pairs up with my groups whole presentation about school budgets, and pairing them together will help me remember both of them better.

  3. I also agree, it's crazy to think about how some preschools cost so much more than high schools. As mentioned in class, they don't even provide food for the kids, maybe only a little snack and that's it. I'm totally with you guys when you say the education should be equal. There shouldn't be any competition.

  4. I agree with your statement about the preschools being more expensive about the high-schools and middle-schools. It was indeed very eye-opening and the presentation did.

  5. This post is very accurate and it shows your understanding of the presentation. I agree with you on the fact that I never really knew how much preschool was because my parents simply never payed for it (I'm not completely sure about this) but if they did, I'm sure it wasn't as much as it is now a days. It was crazy for me to hear that these parents are paying so much money for their kids to obtain a good education but at the same time they aren't even being fed which is unacceptable. I agree with what Gerardo said about education being equal and that there shouldn't be any competition when it comes to that. Everyone should have an equal shot at having an education and it shouldn't even be about the money.

  6. I agree, especially with kids that our so young, they have done nothing at all wrong not to deserve a chance. Adding preschool to the public school system would be an attempt to give people more equal education.
