Scopes Trial

Two weeks ago, our class completed a recreation of the Scopes Trial. As a jury member, it was part of my assignment to determine, based on evidence and arguments, if the defendant was guilty or not. I, personally, ruled in favor of evolution. Based on the amount of evidence provided for evolution over intelligent design and the arguments that were made by the defense, I believe that evolution should be taught in schools.

  1. I like how you wrote about who you favored. What did you think of the simulation? Did you like it?

  2. Even if evolution should be taught in schools don't you believe that children should be able to hear about all other religions and be able to choose for themselves what they want to believe.

  3. I like the group you favored :P I think this is short but concise, I have the same question as Daphne, what did you think of the stimulation and what elements made you think our argument was better? Otherwise you have great ideas!
