Rejection of the Versailles Treaty

In November 1919 the senate voted down on the treaty of versailles. Another final vote was taken in March 1920 defeated the treaty again by seven votes. The American public forgot about the League of nations and attention was drawn elsewhere. The fight to ratify the League of Nations was over and the U.S. did not ratify the Treaty of Versailles. This was seen as the beginning of American Postwar Isolationism. The Americans doubt why they were involved in World War I and overall decide to focus on their country individually.

  1. I really like how concise this paragraph is. You only stated the necessary facts, but it was very informative while also straight to the point.
