League of Nations Cartoon Activity
I thought that cartoon activity was very helpful to get us ready for any upcoming test on propaganda of the League of Nations. We got to establish our own thought and develop our thinking skills on what is actually happening in the propaganda. I also did like this activity because we as listeners look at the different cartoons and view both sides of the argument and see their significance in their ideas or thoughts on the League of Nations and would would happen because of it existing. At the beginning of this activity, I was pretty convinced that Wilson's idea of the Leagues of Nations would be a great idea that would work for world peace, or at least prevent big wars from occurring in the future. Until I understood some of the cartoons shown, I noticed that the League of Nations might not work and especially from the different examples of them showing the conflict with it. There were examples like the one where foreign countries with many interest or issues will want to drag the U.S. into the League of Nations. This could conflict the U.S. because they will have to help all countries in the League, and that could certainly be too much for any country to handle.
