The League of Nations

President Wilson promoted a world in which peace was implemented between the nations so that another World War would be unnecessary. Through his 14 points, he expressed what he thought would best be able to create peace. Point 14 called for an organization of nations to meet and discuss to avoid another great war. However, the Republican party strongly opposed the League of Nations because he feared that it would take away from the power of the United States. In the end, the strong opposition of the Republicans and the Senate resulted in America not joining the League of Nations.

  1. This is a really helpful post. I like how it is short but it still has the important information about the league of nations.
